Stay Nice & Joe Jackson – “Face The Music”

Somewhere on the other side of the world in Australia, producer Stay Nice teamed up with singer/songwriter Joe Jackson to bring us a hot-cup-of-coffee blend of house hip-hop. With flows coming at you with calculated elegance, “Face The Music” is a perfect jingle to take a deep breath and two-step it off. Featured artist Joe Jackson made a more-than-promising debut with such a soothing voice harmonizing over the hook, along with captivating content throughout the verses… All of which are of course laid down atop an instrumental that sounds smoother than creamy peanut butter. Daydream Masi – “Thank God We’re Children”

Daydream Masi is a proud host of the vibes on his track, “Thank God We’re Children” and he was nice enough to share them with us. The angelic tune serves as the perfect outro to Masi’s latest project, The Perfect Touch Of Darkness, which just dropped on June 3rd via L1NEUP Records. Both Daydream Masi’s main and backing vocals are engineered to perfection with just the right amount of reverb to send you on a journey through your ears. As the prominent act has already been featured on the 13 Reasons Why soundtrack, “Thank God We’re Children” is sure to reach far and wide. Enjoy “God” via SoundCloud & Spotify. daydream Masi · Thank God We’re Children

Tion – “Up Forever”

You can literally hear the hunger in Tion’s voice on his latest track, “Up Forever.” The rapper from Denver, CO rips apart the groovy bass-boosted beat with a flow that oozes confidence in the bars being pushed through it. Tion marks the track’s fate from the first line, “B***h I smell the win, let’s get settled in” and seals it with “I told my mama we in good hands like we got State Farm.” There is also a music video with a release date to be determined but until then… Stream “Up Forever” on Apple Music & Spotify

Agat – “Wait For Me”

Coming from Tel-Aviv, Israel, the act known as Agat has reached the other side of the world with an absolute banger by the name of “Wait For Me.” This outlandish anthem blows through your speakers with a breath of fresh air. “Wait For Me” features the prominent Zelooperz who comes in on pinpoint cue to lay down a lackadaisical verse that brings balance between his and Agat’s frequency. The energy Agat emits is kinetic in a very head-thrashing type of way. “Wait For Me” also features an animated music video created by Dean Naim that is so random that it makes sense. Check it out on both SoundCloud & Spotify Watch the animated music video for “Wait For Me” on YouTube too. AGAT · Wait For Me (feat. Zelooperz)

youproblem – “Drunk”

We’ve all been there, but Australian act youproblem has found a way to put it into a perfect pop song… “Drunk” is an anthem to the destructive behavior that happens after a few many tequilas (and a bit of self-loathing). In a nod to their personal experiences with Australian drinking culture, they’ve paired dark and self-depreciative lyrics with an otherwise sugar-sweet indie-pop backbone, heavy with the weight of an undeniable bassline and a woozy synth presence. Noshows – “Wait It Out”

NY’s Noshows has found the perfect way to cope with their anxiety on their latest offering, “Wait It Out.” Upon first listen, you might notice the dreamy guitar tones and slackeresque vocal delivery, but deeper down, you’ll notice that “Wait” is actually a tightly-wound track. Big, springy drums help push this one past dream-pop and into a bit more of an urgent space… But the tasty juxtaposition of taking-it-easy versus an undercurrent of anxiousness is what really takes this one to the next level. Noshows is also on Spotify and Apple Music.

Palomino – “Strestaurant”

Wauchope-based trio Palomino get raucous and rowdy on their latest indie-punk offering, “Strestaurant.” With meandering basslines, spiraling guitar riffs, and gruff-but-melodic vocal melodies, the three-piece brings to mind acts like PUP, Hollerado, or The Menzingers. Created 100% at home, the band’s sincere delivery isn’t undercut by any sort of DIY-production value (it sounds pretty perfect actually, well done Palomino!) – this one will sit nicely on any playlist that gets your blood pumping. You can also find “Strestaurant” on Spotify.

elison – “Covered Me”

Des Moines-based duo elison caught our ears with their recently-released single, “Covered Me.” The shoegaze-meets-indie-rock-meets-dream-pop tune is full of tasty guitar tones, a hazy vocal presence, and an impending sense of urgency that inspires feelings of longing and bittersweet realizations. About the song, the duo says: “‘Covered Me’ is about coming to the realization that, while in a relationship with a narcissist, you don’t really know the person you’re with. That person’s desire to be in the spotlight eclipses all else, even has you questioning yourself.” You can find elison on Spotify as well. elison · Covered Me

Klara Keller – “Sad Thinking Of You”

All the way from Sweden, Klara Keller graces us with her first English language single, “Sad Thinking Of You.” The song pairs vintage-sounding synths and a Casio keyboard rhythm with perhaps the biggest draw to Keller’s music, her very distinct-but-endearing vocal stylings. About the very much summer-sounding song, Keller says: “I wrote ‘Sad Thinking Of You’ in Paris when I was very happy, but at the same time looking back for what I’d left behind. My past life became a seashell put against my ear. Like listening while walking in a new world.” You can find Klara’s music on Spotify and Apple Music. HYBRIS · Klara Keller – Sad Thinking Of You

COOL HEAT – “Slow Burn”

buffaBLOG mainstay COOL HEAT (see here, here, and here) is back with another bedroom-pop daze, this time called “Slow Burn.” The Chicago-native specializes in hazy, dreamy textures, pairing Casio beats with haunting vocals and aquatic guitar tones. This one comes courtesy of Spirit Goth records, which unsurprisingly, also houses COOL HEAT’s contemporary CASTLEBEAT. You can find more of COOL HEAT on Spotify and Apple Music. Deep Sea Peach Tree – “Puppy Love”

Sleepy NYC surf rockers Deep Sea Peach Tree caught our ears with the laid-back vibes of latest single, “Puppy Love.” NYC native Kristof Denis teamed up with buds Andrew Dell Isola and Zack Pockrose to create this one, a sardonic take on what it means to be young and in love. In true slacker-surf fashion, expect hazy guitars, even hazier vocals, and sun-soaked melodies. You can find “Puppy Love” on Apple Music and Spotify. Deep Sea Peach Tree · Puppy Love

Kinoco – “Show Me”

“Show Me” comes to us all the way from Tokyo – the producer set out to write a slow-burn jam about just wanting to escape with the one you love. Jazzy guitar twinkles lay underneath male/female harmonies driven by longing melodies and gentle deliveries. It’s accompanied by the perfect visual representation – imagine yourself as the figure floating in a sea of late-night neon and drift away the way Kinoco wants you to. Check it out on Apple Music and Spotify too.

Pr0 Social – “3%”

Bringing yet another bubbly bop with his latest single “3%,” the-Buffalo based hip-hop/R&B artist Pr0 Social is a professional at his craft to say the least. Pr0 Social, born Jerrell Lanos, flaunts his caption-worthy bars with such unpredictable flows on the verses and a hook that comes with a harmony you couldn’t forget if you tried. Production-wise, the beat is impeccable, coming at you with dramatic pauses and some sort of clinking noise that has no business sounding as perfect as it does. As smooth as the Pink Panther, Pr0 Social has been popping out to perform at venues such as the Town Ballroom, which makes you wonder: is this a victory lap for his latest single? Or is he gearing up to drop something more? Stay tuned. Stream it on Spotify and Apple Music

tøbin – “Can’t Explain”

The intro to the Lost Soul EP via Buffalo artist tøbin seems as if it’s the intro to something more; something bigger. The 18-year-old singer/songwriter speaks on what he “Can’t Explain” in a way anyone can relate to. It sounds almost as if tøbin has found comfort in the numbing concept within the sample saying, “it feels just right, I love it” as he joins in with a haunting yet euphoric “Can’t Explain it.” The verses take you through the thoughts of a Lost Soul and where those thoughts take them. Oh, let’s not forget that this was his debut project; see what I mean when I say it’s something more? Stream it on Spotify and Apple Music tøbin · Can’t Explain

B-rent – Everything For Paige

Somewhere in the up & coming hip/hop scene in Buffalo, a voice can be heard with sounds of sincerity; the voice comes from B-rent on his debut LP: Everything for Paige. The album resembles something like a modern day Shakespeare tragedy reflecting the beauty in despair. He shows his fans what rock bottom has taught him before he reaches the mountain top he’s climbing. The fuel to the flame of “Everything For Paige” was unmistakably gifted from his late sister, Paige Casillo. Tracks like “This Broke” resemble how hollow a heart that was once full still beats with as much purpose as the percussion in his music. While tracks like “Exposed” demonstrate how to run through problems (or brick walls)  head-on. The theme of the eleven track LP burns the brightest on track 10, “WITH ME, WITH YOU,” as B-rent belts out lines like “freestyle flows ain’t no need for[...]
