EESE – “Confidence”

Cologne-based act EESE are here with a late-summer anthem that is sure to have you reliving your mid 00s glory days. A plucky guitar lead starts this one out, rhythmic and muted, reminiscent of a mathy act like FOALS – it soon evolves into a bonafide indie rock jam, full of tasty synth work and passionate, shout-it-out vocals that beg for a sing along. Despite the modern rock radio treatment, “Confidence” even has a deeper meaning – the duo grapples with procrastination and self-worth, even while they’re delivering the hooks.
