Caye – “SOME LAKES”

If you’ve felt like the music in your life is missing that sparkle which enhances your daily vibes, then look no further than “SOME LAKES.” Based out of Santa Monica, the one they call Caye is the gatekeeper of such a sparkle. The ambience he offers up to his fans is hypnotizingly intoxicating in the purest way conceivable. The mix on the vocals is the definition of nostalgic, as you can’t help but imagine a sun setting as the carnival lights take over the task of illuminating the night. Caye must’ve known “SOME LAKES” would be the perfect cherry on top for the summer of 2022, I can only imagine what he’s got up his sleeve for 2023. Kash XO x Fivio Foreign – “CLEAR THE ROOM”

From coast to coast, Kash XO & Fivio Foreign have the game in a headlock with their latest single. The Oxnard California native & the New York mogul present “CLEAR THE ROOM,” featuring the sauciest of 808’s drizzled over the entire instrumental. Anytime Fivio graces the mic, he paints some of the most vivid pictures drill has ever witnessed. The fact that Kash XO held his own against who’s widely regarded the greatest drill artist out right now is crazy in itself. Kash XO wasted no expense on the visuals paired up with “CLEAR THE ROOM” with scenes that definitely cost several thousand to produce, see for yourself. S-X – “It’s Over Now”

A new pop sensation by the name S-X has actually been percolating in the game for quite some time in the production department, but he clearly has more in mind. S-X dropped stunning visuals over the last single, “It’s Over Now,” for his debut album titled things change. However, as immaculate as the visuals may be; it’s the vocals of S-X that shine even brighter under the spotlight. The production of the track is contagiously bouncy, yet suspenseful all at once. Marc DiNero – “The Gr8st”

As a tribute to both the OG and himself, the Louisville-based MC known as Marc DiNero portrayed the great Muhammad Ali in his latest single, “The GR8ST.” The video has the both the quality & energy of a modern day Rocky Movie, not to mention Marc going just as hard on the mic. If you’re preparing for an athletic event of any sorts, do yourself a favor and let “The Gr8st” fuel your flame (watch the video for best results). As soon as Marc DiNero enters the ring, he unapologetically lays into the track with such a perfect pin-point delivery in a way where each word sounds like he’s making direct contact to his opponent (aka your ears). Breadcouch – “Livin”

Anyone who is able to pull off an effective beat switch on a track with a runtime of two minutes and twelve seconds is one special individual; introducing: Breadcouch. The Texas natives most recent installment “Livin” is lyrically lighthearted with heavy hitting flows. “On Livin” in particular, Breadcouches delivery sounds like he just woke up but it works as a very effective tamber for his vox. G Herbo – “Drill (feat. Rowdy Rebel)”

What better way to celebrate the one year anniversary of an album other than to release some visuals for it? G Herbo decided to paint even more of a picture for his fans by releasing the music video for “Drill (feat. Rowdy Rebel)” off of his last project 25. AZAE Production made a three minute movie for Chicago and New York’s superstars as they floated over the mountains of 808s. Gamblers – “Another Dose (feat. Mick Jenkins)”

Transcendent vocals laid atop an instrumental groovy enough to get you out of your seat; “Another Dose” is the summer hit you’ve been searching for. The long island trio known as Gamblers sing alongside the renown Mick Jenkins over the hook of their latest single. After setting the tone, Mick Jenkins picks it up and doesn’t drop it, going hard for the entire verse. The production throughout the track has a retro, almost Black Eyed Peas vibe to it… AKA it’s two minutes of sonic nostalgia. “Another Dose” also came along with mesmerizing visuals directed and produced by Paul Motisi. Dax – “Searching For a Reason”

With undisputed authenticity, Dax comes forth with his latest music video, “Searching For a Reason,” from his sophomore album Pain Paints Paintings. The video uses Alice and Wonderland as a vehicle to drive the plot of finding yourself in a very dark place where it seems as if everyone’s against you. Iconic lines like, “Forget bout all of the followers, Jesus had 12 disciples,” alongside stunning visuals are what certifies “Searching For a Reason” as a new show-piece in Dax’s discography. Despite the track being nearly one year old, its music video has garnered over 100,000 likes on YouTube in less than one month of its release, which goes to show how devoted Dax’s fans really are. Khi’leb – “Where The Food At”

Coming in like a mortar, Khi’leb went absolutely ballistic on “Where The Food At.” The instrumental also has a dynamic switch from battle mode to blissful, so quickly, yet seamless. “Where The Food At ” has an impeccable beat, including 808s that will shake windows, perfectly timed percussion, and it’s tied all together with some graceful piano; bells; and what sounds like a choir from the future. Shoebox Benny – “Straight”

Before there was Car Bombs, there was “Straight.” Shoebox Benny decided to grace his fans with some visuals to the first single of his sophomore album, and let’s just say they generously compliment the track. Shot in the Chicago MC’s favorite places on the West Side, the warm orange colors combined with the cut-out letter font make the song come off a lot more casual in a great way. It also helps that Shoebox Benny is floating every second he speaks. You won’t be surprised what $50,000 off dope money would make you do, but you probably will when you find out what your girl does with Shoebox Benny behind your back. Rokeaux – “Charmin’ Tha Snakes”

With a voice that deserves a trademark, it’s no surprise that the LA-based phenomenon known as Rokeaux took his latest single to the next level. “Charmin’ Tha Snakes” is one of those songs that will enhance whatever it is you’re feeling ten-fold, but with a garnish of triumphant beauty. The entire track is an extended metaphor comparing close ones to snakes and Rokeaux executes it to perfection, from the words he said, to the very way he sang them. “Charmin’ Tha Snakes” was released on June 25th of 2022 and is intended to be played at very high volumes in the summertime. TRY X Earthgang – “Clarity”

What happens when you combine one of the most authentically versatile groups in the rap game with an indie-electronic duo? Something like smoking and swimming for the first time thinking it’s no big deal until you’re literally floating. The duo known as Try is composed of Sam i and Shmuck the Loyal who banded together with the legendary Earthgang to bring us their latest single, “Clarity.” The track sounds like it was baptized in an ocean of fire and the video looks like it was directed in Hollywood, but it was directed by no other than the first half of Try, AKA Sam i. “Clarity” was the first single off of their debut project “Chapter One” – it’s out now on all streaming platforms. Digging for Kanky – “Still Digging”

This track was marked for death as soon as you pressed play and those church bells rang… The executioner is none other than trip-hop duo Digging for Kanky on their latest track “Still Digging.” With a delivery of death itself carried across the track by hauntingly hellish bells through explicitly innovative lyrics, “Still Digging” is some of Digging For Kanky’s best work to date. They somehow captured the eeriness of a silent horror film and implemented those same thrilling sensations on a record. The up & coming youngin’ by the name of Foster caught quite a bit of buzz with his new single, “Wish You Were Here.” Just another day in the life for the singer/songwriter with over one million monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
