Tonight: Protoculture

One of the most well-known names in trance will be brought to LiFT Nightclub tonight by the folks at Factory Nightlife. Nate Raubenheimer, better known as the South African trance powerhouse Protoculture, will take the decks for the entirety of the night with an extended six-hour set. With more than 10 years of experience, Protoculture is no stranger in the world of psy-trance, trance, and progressive styles. Tonight: MAKJ

As the fall slowly approaches, Buffalo nightlife says goodbye to Sky Bar and welcomes back LiFT Nightclub. The fall opening kicks off tonight with MAKJ, presented by Factory Nightlife. Located in downtown Buffalo, LiFT is known for its dynamic lighting, ultramodern sound system and of course, the artists that make the club come alive. LiFT has featured artists like Cosmic Gate, Audien and Tritonal, making it one of Buffalo’s most popular venues for electronic music. Otherwise known as Mackenzie Johnson, MAKJ is now thriving as a producer, mostly known for his electro-house remixes and collabs with artists like Hardwell and Bingo Players,. With three Beatport Top 10 hits, including his work with Hardwell on “Countdown,” and his 2014 smash “Let’s Get F*cked Up” with Lil Jon, he continues to shake the airwaves with his weekly radio show and tracks released on his SoundCloud. J.Phlip, the dirtybird duchess, returns to Buffalo again tonight. When not monikered she is known as Jessica Phillippe. Given her Chicago house influences from growing up in Champaign, Ill., the sounds of her sets and productions have a depth, complexity and smoothness to them, you might as well be drinking a well-aged scotch. Get down with Audien this evening. The world-reknown electrohouse DJ will be taking over Lift Nightclub, Buffalo’s latest down-town party destination, and revving up the crowd with action-packed chord progressions, thundering buildups, and intoxicating drops. The young 22 year old producer has been on tour for most of the past two years, stopping in the major meccas of the world. Whether he’s playing in Miami Beach, Las Vegas, or New Delhi, he always brings his contagious energy, sweeping the crowd off their feet with his vibrant showmanship.
