Matthew Danger Lippman @ Milkies

buffaBLOG’s booking entity, Yace Booking, has two events this weekend that should definitely be on your radar. The first is the return of Buffalo-raised, Brooklyn transplant Matthew Danger Lippman, who will be headlining a show at Milkies on Friday. Lippman has been a creative and local staple since 2012, first emerging with his indie band Brimstone Blondes. From there, Lippman left Buffalo and evolved his style and delivery to align more with the weirdo, psych-pop realm.

Opening the show will be Evil Things and anti-pop xylophone based duo Welks Mice. There was a late addition last week with Madison, Wisconsin based electro-pop act Carrellee opening the night up. $15 cover.

Sunday, July 13th @ 7pm

MC Chris @ Milkies

The sun is out, the potholes are are blazing, and MC Chris makes his annual tour stop in the Queen City for a night of nostalgia nerd rap. MC Chris has been a fixture in the underground internet hip hop scene for over twenty years, making a name for himself with his voice acting and soundtrack work on Cartoon Network’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Expect hit after hit after hit with some light story telling and a tight set to get you home just in time for the Sunday scaries to fade into night night.

Also on the bill is fellow nerdcore hip-hop artist Swell Rell. There’ll be specialty cocktails for the evening, Aqua Teen on the TV, and budget for some merch because MC Chris always has some sweet swag. $25 cover.
