Blood Tigers, the creation of NYC visual artist and musician Christian Haberkern, drops the smooth new electro-pop single, “Tell Me Where You’ve Been.” Off his latest EP, Outer Space Dream, this funky record is like watching an alien do the moonwalk in Studio 54. It features a captivating and undulating beat that absolutely boogies with out of this world synths, velvet bass lines and sensual featherweight vocals. Tonight: Kyle & The Pity Party

Nietzsche’s in Buffalo is the place to be tonight as they host an exciting indie show with a stacked lineup. Taking the stage and setting your Saturday night ablaze are Kingston’s very own evocative and electrifying indie rock quartet, Kyle & The Pity Party. If you haven’t heard of them, where have you been? These guys have been on the scene since 2012 and are known for their melodic and full-hearted barnburners that will rattle your ribcage and send shivers down your spine. Low River, moniker of solo acoustic Englishman Paul Bardsley, drops “The Man That Death Forgot,” a badass death-country barnburner that will get your hands clapping and your boots stomping. Off his new album, One Cat – Many Claws, this rugged and catchy country track shows off its wild side with jangly dancehall riffs and Bardsley’s fantastically spirited and weathered-by-whiskey vocals. Mohawk Place hosts a hotly anticipated hodgepodge show of wonderfully unique music that promises to be the biggest party in Buffalo tonight. Headlining and making a stop on their summer march up the Northeast is the awe-inspiring, What Cheer? Brigade. More rock n roll than marching band, this twentyish piece badass brass collective from Providence, RI is going to change your life; you just don’t know it yet. Nothing can prepare you for the exhilarating energy and happiness of blasting trumpets, bellowing trombones, pounding percussion and crashing cymbals so don’t even bother. Chill Ali – FREE YA MIND

Rising Buffalo-based emcee, Chill Ali, earns his moniker with his latest, long-gestating project, FREE YA MIND. This nine-track offering, which Chill served as both rapper and producer, is two years in the making. The thought and dedication that went into the process is obvious, but as a result Chill has created a superbly cerebral and zen indie-rap album that shows promise of the spitter’s budding signature sound. As a producer, Chill’s productions are spotlight stealing and mess with your senses and perceptions in the best way possible. Hypnotizing beats reverb, melt and ungulate with the syrupy influence of the Houston and cloud surfing hip-hop scenes. Electric Avenue hosts an eclectic night tonight which will be the music destination for downtown Buffalo. Topping the bill, and making a stop on their exhaustive US tour, is the dancey Chicago synthpop duo, Zigtebra. Creative partners Emily Rose and Joe Zeph will get your body moving with their quirky, diary-entry love songs overcast with sparkling melancholia. Everything may seem like rainbows and butterflies with bubbly synth beats and Rose’s warm, romantic vocals, but below the surface, there’s longing and heartache.
