Rokeaux – “Charmin’ Tha Snakes”

With a voice that deserves a trademark, it’s no surprise that the LA-based phenomenon known as Rokeaux took his latest single to the next level. “Charmin’ Tha Snakes” is one of those songs that will enhance whatever it is you’re feeling ten-fold, but with a garnish of triumphant beauty. The entire track is an extended metaphor comparing close ones to snakes and Rokeaux executes it to perfection, from the words he said, to the very way he sang them. “Charmin’ Tha Snakes” was released on June 25th of 2022 and is intended to be played at very high volumes in the summertime. Hether – “Chem Bath”

Learn to float with Hether on his latest track, “Chem Bath.” The production is ridged in a way that gives you a similar sensation to jamais vu… You were sure you’ve been here before, but you definitely haven’t. Hether reminds me of how radically refreshing the alternative indie genre can be when you’re listening to someone who knows where to take it. “Chem Bath” takes place somewhere in the late night under neon lights oozing with color. Have trust and take a trip you’ll never forget with this LA phenomenon. Stream it on Spotify and Apple Music

rincs – “Less Polite”

LA-based act rincs very well may be the pioneer of a new genre unlike any I’ve ever heard. The intro to “Less Polite ” is gripping, right from the get-go, with a wave-like sonic sensation. It’s incredible how such abstract noises and rhythms can sound so good when put in the right places. If “Less Polite ” doesn’t leave you with hypnotized spiral eyes, there’s only one possible explanation; you just don’t get it. But that’s okay! We know you’ll get there. Just keep listening until you do. Stream it on Spotify & Apple Music rincs · Less Polite

FNTN – “Crypto Vegan”

Coming together on the east and migrating to the west coast of LA, FNTN has had quite the journey, most recently leading up to their latest 2022 groove. “Crypto Vegan” is an eccentric, surfed-out goodbye to someone you once loved who left the rock and roll lifestyle behind for a life of business and cubicles… Not that there’s anything wrong with that. “Crypto Vegan” shows off charismatic pop and swoon-worthy synth rock for whenever you’re trying to feel nostalgic. The cover art reflects the smooth and bouncy retroesque waves being pushed by the aesthetic of FNTN as a whole, and evidently, their new single “Crypto Vegan” itself. Johnny Cisneros – “Chase Me Away”

If this electric summer jam doesn’t get you up and moving, I’m not sure what will. “Chase Me Away” by LA-based artist Johnny Cisneros paves the way for the psych-pop community by challenging the typical chord progressions and lyrical layout. Johnny told us: “‘Chase Me Away’ is about the loss of identity after the end of a relationship. It captures the feeling of chasing a past Identity of yourself.” It’s the songs like this that inspire artists of any media to step outside of their comfort zone and that being weird can actually be really cool. Hanna Searl – “My Fantasy”

You can almost see the lighters swaying back and forth while listening to Hanna Searl sing on her latest single, “My Fantasy.” Based in LA, the singer/songwriter brings out her signature 90s aesthetic in this bratty rock track. Distorted guitar shreds over the hook embellish the tragedy of the love story being told. “I don’t think you know my name, I wonder if you feel the same” is a line that all introverts feel in their soul. Erin Anne – “Eve Polastri’s Last Two Brain Cells Have A Debate”

LA-based singer/songwriter under Carpark Records: Erin Anne (if not already) proved she was far more than just that on latest single “Eve Polastri’s Last Two Brain Cells Have A Debate.” The level of relatability within the little lyrics laid down is astonishing. Erin Anne gave her fans a music video to go along with “Eve Polastri’s Last Two Brain Cells Have A Debate” that has an ending so happy and epic I couldn’t help but smile. If you enjoy guitars being shred and reflecting your relationships with others and even moreso, yourself; this is your anthem. Stream it on Spotify and Apple Music

talker – “Growing Up”

The LA musician talker has built up quite the name for herself. In her own words, Talker is known for “throwing glitter all over my emotions” which is honestly too humble of a statement for her work. The soundtracks she makes should be featured in movies, her song “Growing Up” has so much emotion packaged into its understated but utterly-unique indie rock form. That connection between the artist and their audience is apparent with talker. It’s really liberating to hear from a fellow human being; a message of things not being exactly how you imagined, and figuring out where to go from there. “Growing Up” is the first step in finding the ultimate answer of not always having one. With an LP set to release April 8th, LA-based band No Swoon spoiled fans with a third single, “Wait To See,” from their upcoming sophomore album Take Your Time.
