Lilyer is the moniker of Marte Solbakken. Her newest offering is a gentle pop song full of swelling synth pads and Lilyer’s breathy vocals (think Donna Lewis’ 90s hit, “I Love You Always Forever). About “I Was On Your Side,” Lilyer says, “I wrote the song during a time when I was questioning a lot of things… It’s about feeling stuck between what once was and what is, when you don’t even feel any loyalty towards the person you’d once do anything for.”
