Chicago-based act Eye Tiger specializes in synth-driven, lo-fi indie rock and they caught our ears with their latest track, “Touchdown.” Upon first listen, you’ll be drawn to the gothy, 80s-post-punk-influenced vocal delivery, but upon further listening, you’ll start to appreciate all the flourishes hidden throughout the track. There are lots of layers of chorus-laden guitar and sparkly synth textures to peel back, so grab a pair of your favorite headphones, sit back, and pretend you’re watching the Bills pull off a pick six on the Chiefs (that’s a touchdown joke, ICYMI).
