When Australian duo Bridge Dog thinks about their latest single “Gone South,” they picture the view from a moving train window. It’s got a sort of propulsive indie rock energy, or as they put it, “the feeling of coming out of a tunnel into light.” We agree with their assessment, but we’re getting a distinctly jangle-pop sound here on “South” – think the same vein as genre luminaries like Alvvays, Beach Bunny, or Tennis. Expect twinkly guitars, sunny vibes, and a wholesome and endearing vocal performance.
