The Luka State are gearing up to release their second album More Than This and they’ve recently shared the title track with us. “More Than This” is, more than anything else, a protest song about how our current way of living is failing us. Of course, we’re happily drawn to the big guitars and energy reminiscent of The Dirty Nil, Biffy Clyro, and Arctic Monkeys… But there truly is a deeper message here. About the song, The Luka State singer Conrad Ellis explains:

“[I had an encounter with a single mother of two while [I] was delivering food parcels during the pandemic. She did everything she could for her boys working two jobs a week to put food on the table but she was let down by the system.”

You can find “More Than This” on Spotify and Apple Music as well.
