Frequent buffaBLOG subject Trentemøller lent his remix skills to this excellent track, “Lumens,” originally by UK-based act The KVB. The icy-cold post-punk instrumental flavors mix nicely with the dreamed-out vocal presence – fans of Interpol or The xx will find lots to love here. The two worked together to create something that stayed true to the KVB’s original, while also showcasing Trentemøller’s knack for building songs around strong pop melodies. About the remix, he says:
“I really love KVB’s original version but I wanted to see where I could take the song, especially the vocal melody. So I basically built up a whole new instrumental tune around the vocals.”
