We’ve (I’ve) got a soft spot for fuzzed-out guitars. The latest single from Paris-based American/French duo Special Friend definitely nails that sound… And throws in a squiggly, vintage synth sound for good measure. Like the song’s title, “Ennemi Commun” (which means the opposite of Special Friend) is a toxic combo… A one-two punch that will tug on your heartstrings and hook you in for good. The dreamy vocal melodies are the KO.
