Alex Vince – “TOWN IN TEXAS”

---

Los Angeles hip hop artist Alex Vince is the full package. The singer, rapper and producer also contributes the guitar playing to his moody, genre-bending new single. “TOWN IN TEXAS.”

Underneath the desert moonlight,  Vince alternates between rapping and serenading as he says goodbye to a lover in, you guessed it, a small Texas town. His guitar doesn’t twang, but its forlorn voice dampens the dryness of the dusty air as Vince tries to find peace through any sort of escape. When liquor doesn’t settle it, the open road calls. A modern twist on a breakup tune told near a saloon.

If you’re feeling “TOWN IN TEXAS,” make sure you give Vince a listen on Spotify. While you’re there, check out our Best Underground Hip Hop of 2026 playlist – rumor has it we’ll be doing a best-of for the year coming soon.
