My Gravity Girls – “Jeremiah”

Italian act My Gravity Girls caught our ears with the airy “Jeremiah.” Featuring distinct baritone vocals layered over cloud-like synth pop, we think My Gravity Girls would sit comfortably on a shelf next to Bon Iver, Volcano Choir, or Grizzly Bear. Despite the song’s feather-light feel, we heard a rumor that the song is not-so-secretly about a serial killer. Either way, the band hoped to create a disconnect between the music and the subject matter – they have definitely succeeded.
Give their Bandcamp page some love by picking up their latest release, Irrelevant Pieces Vol. 2.
