Mother Evergreen – “A Newer North”

Mother Evergreen is the moniker for Chicago solo artist Evan Loritsch. We recently stumbled upon “A Newer North,” an understated tune full of wintry electronics and hushed vocals. The ambient folk of Mother Evergreen brings to mind fellow indietronica artists The Album Leaf, The Postal Service, and Electric President. “A Newer North” is about constant impermanence, and how one’s living arrangements have a deep affect on that person’s development. Definitely a thought worth pondering while you listen to his contemplative music.

The 10-song Mother Evergreen is currently on Bandcamp for a “name your price” rate. No excuses – swing by and pick this one up.
