Tonight: Bring Back The 90’s Skate Party

I still have very vivid memories of going to the Eastern Hills Mall roller rink during my elementary/middle school years of the 90’s, awkwardly skating around the rink, just waiting for the DJ to yell “REVERSE” and completely turning the rink into a cluster of falling kids trying to change directions. If you are another child of the 90’s and are in the mood to lace up the old skates and relive those times, then head down to Skateland this evening on East Ferry for a Bring Back the 90’s Skate Party. Entry is free, but make sure to bring a buck to rent some skates. DJ Remmez will be providing the nostalgic tunes all night long. Puka shell necklaces and JNCO jeans are optional.

Tonight: Red Rovers Roll – Valentine Night Adult Skate

After hitting negative degrees yesterday, I am sure it was a welcome surprise to wake up to another few inches of snow this morning in the winter that just won’t quit. And with today being Valentine’s Day, those single Buffalonians are either faced with being holed up in their apt all day and starting at the walls, or doing something about it. So why not choose the later and head over to Skateland at 10pm tonight for Red Rovers Roll Valentines Night Adult Skate, put on by the fine folks behind the recent Well Round Peoples Parties. Sike and DJ Reazon will be providing the tunes while you “gracefully” skate around the rink all night long. $5 will get you through the door and skate rentals are only a buck.
