Thursday, November 21st @ 8pm Delicious Monsters @ Area 54 / Amy’s Place Punk-y new wave quartet Delicious Monsters are playing a cozy storefront gig this Thursday evening. Based out of Milwaukee, the band is in the midst of an east coast jaunt, dubbed the “Jazz Shrimp Payphones Kiss Collect Clear Stars Expedition” Tour. Delicious Monster’s sound is like a driving B-52s vibes with a dab of D.C. post-punk, which should make this a fun one. Joining the bill will be local horror punks BLACK & WHITE CAT/ BLACK & WHITE CAKE who will be playing in support of their new self-titled album, as well as Escape Pod. Ten buckeroos. The Wonder Years at Anthology in Rochester (10/16/16)

This past Sunday, Anthology was packed to the brim for a sold out show featuring some of the biggest active pop punk bands.  Headlined by The Wonder Years, the stacked lineup also featured Seaway, Moose Blood, Knuckle Puck, and Real Friends.  The show was absolutely wild from start to finish, with audience participation through the roof.  Check out some photos from the insane night below, and click HERE for a full gallery. The Maine w/ Knuckle Puck

One might start to wonder if the Maine are still “fresh to death” having been around for close to 10 years now. Once emo-laced pop punkers, they’ve come to embrace a more straightforward rock sound in the 2010s. That hasn’t stopped them from touring with a cavalcade of buzzing pop punkers including Knuckle Puck, Real Friends, and The Technicolors. The show tonight is at the Waiting Room, but you might be out of luck because the tickets are reportedly sold out. Here is some information anyways: Doors are at 6pm, and the show is 16+.

Emo/pop-punk band Real Friends (not to be confused with Buffalo’s Real People) will be stopping through Buffalo tonight in support of their new album, Maybe This Place Is the Same and We’re Just Changing. Sad songs, mean songs, these Illinois-based guys do it all. RIYL the records Saves the Day, Brand New, or Taking Back Sunday were putting out a decade ago. Neck Deep, Cruel Hand, Have Mercy, and Cedar Kites will be opening the show tonight. You can still get $15 tickets if you hit up someone from Cedar Kites, otherwise the show is $17 at the door. Doors are at 6:00, 16+.
