Kindsight – “Terminal Daze”

Loving this jangly one from Denmark’s Kindsight. With it’s prominent, driven bassline and lilting vocal presence, “Terminal Daze” brings to mind indie pop royalty like Alvvays or The Pains of Being Pure At Heart. Just when you think the verses are ultra-catchy, Kindsight outdo themselves with a monster falsetto hook in the choruses. TANDM – “Earthworm”

TANDM is a Toronto-based Indie Pop duo, consisting of Thomas Franklin and Maxine Beck-Sinderby. Floating Room – “Warm Death (HIFI)”

Portland act Floating Room (AKA multi-disciplinary artist Maya Stoner) has us vibing hard on their latest offering, “Warm Death (HIFI).” At nearly five mins in length, “Death” certainly sticks around to deliver its message – woozy guitars and sleepy vocals trudge along at a despondent, but oddly comforting pace. Though this has the heart and sentiment of bedroom-pop, it’s truly excellently produced. Fans of Great Grandpa, Palehound, or Deerhunter will dig this one a lot. MOY – “At My Door”

UK act MOY are sure to blow out your eardrums with the bombastic, guitar-driven vibes of “At My Door.” This one brings to mind the fuzzy melodies of the Smashing Pumpkins with the quiet-loud verse/chorus structures of Pixies… All wrapped in a modern indie-rock package. Full of ear-catching vocal melodies, “At My Door” is a dead ringer for any enjoyer of modern indie rock. Hypoluxo – “Nimbus”

Brooklyn quartet Hypoluxo have been through the ringer in the music biz… The fact that they’ve made it out still-standing is testament to their strength as a band. We think one listen to their latest offering, “Nimbus,” will confirm that for you. Beyond a nod as one of Stereogum’s top 5 songs of the week, “Nimbus” is a crushing post-punk jam full of start-stop guitar-based energy and impassioned vocals. Whose Rules – “Moth Meme (feat. Selmer)”

We’re drawn to this one like LAMP! *insert moth meme* This latest jam from Norweigan wunderkind Whose Rules is effervescent, buoyant, and most importantly, fun. “Moth Meme” is equal parts Thundercat and Mac Demarco with an infusion of helium. The infectious falsetto and bouncy piano are obvious talking points, but on a deeper level, this one is unabashedly sugary without any sort of cheesiness in sight. Metaphors aside, “Moth Meme” rules, and is sure to put you in a good, lighthearted mood. Veople is an audio-visual duo from Australia made up of multidisciplinary artist and musician, Jay Jermyn, and musician, Julian Currie. Veople specializes in jams that captivate all senses, namely, their latest offering, “Empathy.” Full of insane bass shreds, surprisingly melodic guitar textures, and house-oriented rhythms, “Empathy” is certainly an experience in every sense of the world. Carter Vail – “Computer Love Song”

Here’s a super-chill indie-pop jam from Nashville-based singer/songwriter Carter Vail. “Computer Love Song” is both simple and layered all at once; on a pop progression level, this one stays straightforward, swapping mostly between two chords… But Carter pads his compositions with plenty of synths, swirls, and guitar leads, enough to make them feel lush and developed. Digging this low-key indie pop collab between kidgloves (aka Cody Aledia) and vocalist Emily Brimlow. “Satellite” but don’t think that you will be hearing 70’s rock from Aledia, it is far from that. His new single Satellite, which features Emily Brimlow, began when he and friends were being nostalgic over the past. The combination of the two vocals are perfection and are backed with a steady drumbeat that drives you to the end of the song. This is a must on any new playlist you are making. The Mañanas – “Don’t Think Your Love Has Given Up”

Here’s a cool jangly one from Denver, CO act, The Mañanas. “Don’t Think Your Love Has Given Up” is a nice blend of jangle pop, post-punk, and straight-up indie rock, with lots of fun flourishes throughout (think effected vocals and synth splashes). Beyond the instrumental aspects, the sing-speak vocals have a hypnotic, rhythmic quality to them… Certainly soothing on the ear.
