Join us in nostalgia tonight at Milkie’s where we will be spinning the deep cuts from all your favorite bands from the era. We’re talking Taking Back Sunday, Saves the Day, Midtown all the way to some deep feelers like Hey Mercedes or American Football, sprinkled in with some must-have forefathers like Get Up Kids or Cap’n Jazz. It will all be there, folks. Just Announced: Taking Back Saturday

buffaBLOG is pleased to announce the creation of a new series aimed to bringing back emo music for ONE NIGHT ONLY (every couple of months) aptly titled Taking Back Saturday. Whether you were in on the “mics are for singing not swinging” feud, or if you were contemplating the perfect song to type into your listening to section of LiveJournal, Saturday, September 19th is the night for you. Expect hits from Taking Back Sunday, Saves the Day, Drive-Thru selects, and deep cuts from the likes of American Football. It will all be there. The inaugural event will have DJ sets from Cute is What We Aim For’s Jeff Czum, Mandy K’s Anthony Musior, and In Motion’s Nick Sessanna. Fun starts at 10pm with a $5 cover. Wear a discontinued band t-shirt.
