demotapes x ANDREWBATES – “no sense”

“No Sense” is the exciting new single from the collaboration between San Francisco based Parker Livingston as demotapes and ANDREWBATES. The electronic pop palette of “no sense” treats the listener with organic sounds chopped up and blended into a sugary soothing pop jam.  ANDREWBATES sings with airy expansiveness and though it feels melancholic, the pitched-up energy of the song keeps you feeling high and free, like standing in the sun on a warm spring afternoon. Fans of Avicii, Afro Jack, and Baths will find lots to love about this track. Listen to the new track on SoundCloud here and Spotify here. demotapes – “devotion”

Loving this super vibey slice of electropop-future-house goodness from San Francisco-based musician Parker Livingston aka demotapes. “devotion” pairs a glitchy Postal Service-esque instrumental track with a bit more of a dancefloor vibe. The result is something dance-able that might feel just as at home on a lo-fi playlist to study and chill to. There’s lots to enjoy in this tune – it’s full of unique samples, an itchy and urgent percussion presence, and Livingston’s uber-pleasant and breathy vocal delivery. Check it out on Apple Music and Spotify too. demotapes · devotion

demotapes – “Treading Water”

demotapes is the new project from San Fransisco’s Parker Livingston… “Treading Water” is our pick for where you should start. Watery pianos and light, subtle vibes run throughout this one – until the chorus blooms into something bassy and groovy. Refrains of “we’re all just treading water” feel oddly topical, but also apply vaguely and poignantly to any situation at hand. This one is best heard for yourself – check it out below and swing by demotapes’ Spotify to add it to your playlist. demotapes · treading water
