CHUCK – “Nothing Matters To Me Now”

Brooklyn/Oslo based artist Charles Griffin Gibson, AKA CHUCK, had his final full length released in 2017 with Frankenstein Song for the Grocery Store, but Gibson’s catalog of unreleased songs started to tug on his creative spirit (check our previous features on him HERE and HERE). CHUCK – “Happy Birthday”

CHUCK (aka Charles Griffin Gibson) is a NYC (via Massachusetts) bedroom pop artist whose lo-fi single “Happy Birthday” has us feeling all tingly inside. Through use of piano, Casio drum samples, and unique harmonies, CHUCK evokes feelings of nostalgia and longing. The cryptic imagery in the music video certainly adds to the feelings of longing… Check it out below. CHUCK is offering “Happy Birthday” for a “name your price” rate. Check it out on Bandcamp.

CHUCK – “New Yorker”

Bedroom indie rocker CHUCK gives us his satirical take on life as a New York City dweller in his recent single release, “New Yorker.” The song provides a story-like retelling of his move to the city and day to day life in the metropolis famous for restlessness and sullen strangers. Blending a host of influences from alternative, emo, and new wave, CHUCK nails down a sound that’s uniquely feel-good and genuinely entertaining to listen to. He keeps things light with playful horn lines, shooting synths, and spirited vocals, simultaneously poking fun and pointing out some of the city’s highlights.
