International touring punk act Claimed Choice makes a stop in for a mid-week pick-me-up. The Lyons-based French oi-punk act is touring in support of their new self-titled album. Fans of Turbo Negro, New York Dolls, or even locals Nervous Tick and the Zipper Lips would be into this one. Rounding out the bill will be support from local rock and rollers Sweet Talker and pop punkers Pilot-Field. $15 cover or pay what you can.

Young the Giant was once one of the most buzzed about bands in the blogosphere in the early 2010s, where the quintet broke with notable singles like “My Body” and “Cough Syrup.” The momentum of the band’s early days has catapulted the band into a whole new level of success, playing mega shows and transitioning into mainstream success with the band’s accessible indie pop / alt radio repertoire. On Saturday, the band makes a stop on their national tour in Niagara Falls, NY to delivery what undoubtedly be a killer live show. Alt-country Americana artist William Elliott Whitmore brings his soulful stripped down set to the Chip Strip on Sunday. Whitmore broke into the national indie music sphere in 2009 after signing with ANTI-. Since then, the bluesy folk musician has been playing seemingly anywhere and everywhere, securing tours with City and Colour, Lucero, and Converge. Expect some stripped-down, one-man-band banjo-centric stomp jams that will delay your Sunday Scaries until 9:50pm. Tickets a $22.66.
