Tonight: The Districts

Philadelphia four-piece / Fat Possum Records signees The Districts are set to play the 9th Ward this evening. The band is touring in support of their Record Store Day 7″,  hitting venues all over the Northeast, Canada, and the UK. If you are a fan of Cold War Kids or the Walkmen, then you should head on down to Delaware Ave. tonight.  Also on the bill is fellow Philadelphian / cathartic singer/songwriter Abi Reimold, whose stripped down looptastic live performance will surely enthrall you.  Fun starts at 8pm with a $15 cover. Show up early because Abi Reimold is worth it. Ten years ago Buffalo’s music scene got a righteous kick up the pants when the Town Ballroom opened in the heart of the Theater District. With an emphasis on contemporary acts and one of the best rooms for live music you can go to, Buffalo finally had a place for indie bands too big for the Mohawk like TV On The Radio, Beach House, St. Vincent, Santigold and M83, and our music scene has never been the same. To celebrate this glorious milestone, the pride of West Grove, Pennsylvania return to the Queen City when psychedelic indie rockers Dr. Dog hit up the Town Ballroom with The Districts.
