Tegan and Sara at the Town Ballroom (07/29/17)

This past Saturday, indie pop legends, Tegan and Sara, took to the stage at the Town Ballroom to perform a career spanning set. While their setlist focused mainly on songs of of their 2013 LP, Heartthrob,  they also dug into their vast back catalog, performing fan favorites such as “Back In Your Head” and “Walking With a Ghost.” With an incredible opening set from Japanese Breakfast, there wasn’t a dull moment all night.  Check out some photos from the show below. Tonight: Tegan and Sara

Tegan and Sara are undeniably one of the most important modern indie pop bands. Their influence spans multiple genres and have effected innumerable bands, and you’ve got a chance to see them live tonight at the Town Ballroom.  While they are technically still on tour in support of their latest album, Love You To Death, the duo is gearing up for a string of shows celebrating the ten year anniversary of the legendary record, The Con, so I’m sure you’ll be hearing multiple tracks off of that record, as well as many tracks spanning their entire catalog. Their new LP, Soft Sounds From Another Planet, just came out on Dead Oceans, and it is killer from front to back. Doors open at the[...]

In a year that was so uncommonly great for music in movie, to look at that crop as the “best” of the year seems so falsely representative of what the year was. There’s been a lot of[...]
