Stray Fossa – “I Was There”

Since we first featured them in 2018 (and again, and again), we’ve been wondering how Fossas become stray. Dumb jokes aside, we’re loving yet another single from Stray Fossa a jewel toned jam they’ve titled “I Was There.” This song feels a little bit like what Turnover should have become, with a hint of DIIV and Real Estate for good measure… Expect glassy-eyed vocals laying perfectly atop glassy-toned guitars. The whole thing is a smooth and… glassy affair, with a somber/longing feel that’s just intriguing enough to not be able to put your finger upon.   Peep “I Was There” via the convenient Soundcloud widget below, or, head over to Spotify.   Stray Fossa · I Was There

Stray Fossa – “Never Rest For Good”

Based out of Germany, the European three piece Stray Fossa slid by and dropped a gem in our pockets. Their newest song, “Never Rest For Good,” is just shy of five minutes which in terms of running time, I like that a lot more than a two to three minute song (as long as the song is fire of course); Stray Fossa settled for nothing but. Not only did they deliver us music but they gave us a video behind it. Much like the compilation of nature/skating in MONOWHALES’ video for the “New Threads” visual, Stray Fossa gave us something similar with a darker, colder, and more abstract ambience. With their third single “Never Rest For Good” Stray Fossa is gearing up to drop their LP, Closer Than We’ll Ever Know, on June 3rd. Stray Fossa – “Are You Gonna Be Okay

If you’re an avid buffaBLOGGER, you know we’ve been paying close attention to shoegazy VA act Stray Fossa for at least a few years now. Their latest jam is “Are you Gonna Be Okay” – continuing their trend of bedroom-pop greatness, the trio pairs hush-hush vocals with blasts of synth, warbled out guitar twinkling, and big snazzy basslines. Stick around for the end of the song for an exceptionally cool aural treat – check it out below or snag it from Bandcamp.

Stray Fossa – “Eyze”

Falling somewhere on the spectrum between post-punk and shoegaze, gauzy act Stray Fossa happened to catch our attention with their latest offering, “Eyze.” A hush-hush vibe really sets this one apart from the pack. Despite it’s understated sensibility, it’s actually a pretty driven track. Certainly worth a listen – check it out via the widget below and swing by their Bandcamp for a download. Stray Fossa – “Commotion”

Fans of shoegaze or swirly chorus tones will dig Stray Fossa‘s 3rd single, the warbly “Commotion.” Full of dreamy bridge sections, layered vocals, and a powerful drum track (fun fact: drums were recorded in one take on a fateful, lonely evening), this one certainly embodies Stray Fossa’s ethos. Give this one a shot if you’re into Slowdive, Beach House, or the latest Title Fight album. Like what you hear? Give Stray Fossa some support via Bandcamp. Commotion by Stray Fossa
