Tonight: Downtown Boys

Sugar City is set to host an all-star line-up headlined by one of Sub Pop’s latest signees, Downtown Boys. The Providence, RI funk punk act is touring in support of their latest album released just last week, Cost of Living. Also on the bill are fellow funk punkees Mallwalkers, harsh rockers Alpha Hopper, and rising locals Social Divorce. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Wednesday evening. Show is jam-packed and ends by 10pm, so get there early. 6pm doors with a $7+ cover. Cost of Living by Downtown Boys

Tonight: Out of Body

What better way of spending a Friday night than by thrashing around for a few hours. Tonight at Deep Space 8 is set to be a heavy rager that’s sure to get you going. Coming from Austin, TX will be Out of Body, who are just coming off the release of their latest LP, Voiceless. Out of Body mixes the sounds of alternative rock and mid-90s post hardcore with a lot of solid riffs and guitar work. Playing alongside them will be Riot Stares from Charleston, SC who bring something of a revitalized old school hardcore sound, and locals Onpoint  and Social Divorce. Those into Buffalo hardcore aren’t going to want to miss this. 7pm doors, music starts at 8 p.m. $5 for the touring bands. Voiceless by Out of Body
