Slowcoaching – “Between The Walls”

There’s something to be said about an understated indie-rock song, and Slowcoaching seem to be the masters of it. “Between The Walls” is a perfectly swimmy indie-rock song, soaked in reverb and carried by a bubbly bass riff. A perfect song to put on in any mood – we especially love the slight crescendo in the bridge. Check it out below.

Slowcoaching – “Pillars of Salt”

Slowcoaching brings some classic dream-pop with his new release “Pillars of Salt.” Serving as the solo alias for Dean Valentino, Slowcoaching is coming off a string off support performances with Harts, Philadelphia Grand Jury and Fountaineer. Coming as a warm up to his upcoming album, “Pillars of Salt gives a sense of what the album is going to be like. “Pillars of Salt” is inspired by the nature documentaries that Valentino found himself engulfed in. A combination of atmospheric guitar and deep synth create a smooth sound over the duration of the song. Check out “Pillars of Salt” below via SoundCloud.

Slowcoaching – “Training Wheels”

Last time we checked in with Melbourne-born Slowcoaching, he was touting his dreamy new jam, “Night Fiction.” He’s caught our attention again with the delightful “Training Wheels.” Slowcoaching is still nodding towards The War on Drugs, Ducktails, and Wild Nothing – his music is full of chorus-drenched guitars, squiggly synths, and Kurt Vile-esque vocals. Slowcoaching – “Night Fiction”

Melbourne-born Slowcoaching, also known as Dean Valentino, has been hard at work at producing his newest single, “Night Fiction.” Sounding a bit like a cross between The War on Drugs, Ducktails, and Wild Nothing, “Night Fiction” features chorus-drenched guitars, piercing synth tones, and Valentino’s Kurt Vile-esque vocals. The song itself is about quieting an anxious mind, specifically in the dark, lonely moments before falling asleep. Head over to Slowcoaching’s Bandcamp page and pick up “Night Fiction” for a “pay what you want” rate.
