Shelter Boy – “Atmosphere”

There’s something hypnotic about “Atmosphere” from Shelter Boy (aka Simon Graupner)… There’s also something bratty and raucous. Something about the quasi-90s alterna-pop beat mixed with Graupner’s distinct sneer is just captivating. According to Shelter Boy, “Atmosphere” is “emotionally flexible: it is just as good on a rainy day when you don’t feel like going out as it is on a sunny day in the park.” Well said Simon! Shelter Boy – “Let ’em Go”

Germany-based Shelter Boy is onto something – we dig the delightfully carefree vibes we’re getting from his latest, “Let ’em Go.” Featuring a delivery that is reminiscent of King Krule with the swimmy, guitar-driven indie pop of TOPS and the nihilist energy of Mac Demarco, “Let ’em Go” is the kind of song that explores noodly guitar antics while staying rooted in pleasant song structure.
