Same Girls – “Diamonds”

Oakland act Same Girls are melting a few faces here with their latest offering, “Diamonds.” A little bit post-punk, a little bit nu-disco, and a whole lot of sass, “Diamonds” is a flaming ball of indie-something energy. Effect-soaked guitar leads squeal over nimble bass theatrics while a vocal style similar to Interpol, Ceremony, or Bombay Bicycle Club croons overtop it all. We think this one is full of all the right energy – check it out below; it’s on Spotify too. Same Girls · Diamonds

Same Girls – “Wait”

Oakland-based indie rockers, Same Girls, drop off their wistful and catchy new single, “Wait.” What started off as a jam quickly took on a life of its own when vocalist Taifa Nia stretched his nostalgic aught-like vocals over a jangly and kinetic melody. Give it a listen below for a killer track that will hook you from start to finish. Check out more Same Girls on SoundCloud here and Spotify here.

Same Girls – “Young Minded”

Bay Area quartet Same Girls likes to keep things fresh, especially evident on their latest single, “Young Minded.” Pairing a talk-speak vocal approach (think Tokyo Police Club, Bombay Bicycle Club, etc.) with discordant indie-pop guitar lines, “Young Minded” is an eccentric ditty that brings a new approach to a well-established genre. There are some lovely harmonies and lyrics here – be sure to check it out below. Be sure to visit the Same Girls Spotify page to add some new jams to your playlist.
