24k Jonni – “Nyjah Hu$ton”

Sometimes you see a song title and immediately want to press play. Nyjah Hu$ton, if you’ve been out of the game since Skate 2, is one of the top dawgs in the world of skating, street skating specifically. His influential style on and off the board makes him a welcome addition to the “got a hip hop song named after them” athlete ranks. Move over Mo Bamba. The artist behind the cut, 24k Jonni, is set to build off “Nyjah,” and his other single from this year, “Vices.” “Nyjah” boasts a jazzy hip-hop instrumental, skate-laced imagery, and a no-bullshit delivery. It’s only his second single, but it’s a tone-setter that should get you excited about 24k’s future output. Phil Rick – “Losin’ My Mind”

German rapper Phil Rick’s already dropped an album in 2025, but his motivation has him onto the next. His new single, “Losin’ My Mind” boasts an earworm hook, dancey production and high energy verses that slotted this track immediately into my layup lines playlist. Phil effortless interplays with that high energy production – changing flows alongside the driving drums and synths. “Losin’ My Mind’s” chorus has a nostalgic essence that takes you back to the blog rap days. Catchy, poppy samples dominating the hooks while talented rappers like Phil take control on the verses. This track shares that mass appeal. Kalan – “Vibe with Me”

Up and coming Toronto rapper KALAN’s got an ear for Tyler, the Creator-style production and an eye for vaporwave. Originally a touring hip hop dancer, Kalan transitioned into the rap game and the 19-year-old is crushing it through accessible tracks with big instrumentals and vocals that can fit any beat or energy. “Vibe with Me” has the fuzziness of a Tyler or Pharrell beat, and Kalan rides with bouncy, sing-song delivery that creates a playful energy to match the song’s title.
