Kindsight – “Tomorrow”

Swedish band Kindsight’s latest single is “Tomorrow,” released in anticipation of their upcoming album No Shame No Fame due out in April. Singer Nina Hyldgaard Rasmussen’s vocals shine through the band’s impeccably crafted jangle pop sound. We’ve previously covered Kindsight at the blog a few times now (all here) and enjoyed what we heard then (as with this track)! Fans of Alvvays or Hazel English will find a lot to enjoy here, as would anyone who enjoys heartfelt lyrics sung with as much aplomb as Rasmussen. Speaking to crafting the track, the band had this to say: “This is one of those weird songs where 95% of it writes itself, but the last 5% is really hard to get right. No blood was shed in the process, but it cost us plenty of sweat and tears, and it might have caused Nina to forget her guitar on the train on the[...]

Kindsight – “Sun Is Always In My Eyes”

Let’s just say we know what we like! This time, we’re revisiting another tune from Denmark’s Kindsight (last year we featured their single “Don’t You Grow Up“). They continue to put out excellent jangle pop in the vein of Alvvays, Beach Bunny, and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart; from “Sun Is Always In My Eyes,” expect lovely vocal melodies, a guitar-driven backbone, and a warm hazy mix that will warm even the coldest of hearts. The song even has a cheeky background story that bolsters its sonic palate of sunny optimism: “[‘Sun In Always in My Eyes’ is about] stealing money from your mother and feigning to run away from home. Being blessed and unable to see because you’ve got too much sun in your eyes.” “Sun” will appear on Swedish Punk, out March 25th on Rama Lama Records. Until then, you can enjoy the song via Soundcloud[...]

Kindsight – “Don’t You Grow Up”

Kindsight seem to have mastered the art of jangly indie rock, case-in-point, their latest offering “Don’t You Grow Up.” This isn’t the first time we’ve featured their warm, fun take on the genre – we singled out their tune “Terminal Daze” last year too for similar reasons… Expect Alvvays-esque vocals with a warm guitar presence that would make both Ben Gibbard and Jeff Tweedy blush. Fun fact: this is actually the first song that this Copenhagen-based crew ever wrote together – as they describe it: “a coming-of-age indie gem.” You can find “Don’t You Grow Up” on Bandcamp (below), but it’s also available on Apple Music and Spotify. Kindsight – “Terminal Daze”

Loving this jangly one from Denmark’s Kindsight. With it’s prominent, driven bassline and lilting vocal presence, “Terminal Daze” brings to mind indie pop royalty like Alvvays or The Pains of Being Pure At Heart. Just when you think the verses are ultra-catchy, Kindsight outdo themselves with a monster falsetto hook in the choruses. The result is something pretty, fun, and upbeat – sure to put a smile on your face. Check it out below via Soundcloud – it’s also on Spotify. Rama Lama Records · Kindsight – Terminal Daze
