Tonight: Harmonica Lewinski

Tonight Rochester Hell raising gang of malcontents Harmonica Lewinski make a welcome return to the Queen City opening for local legends The Irving Klaws and fellow Rochesteronians The Fox Sisters at Nietzsche’s. Frankly, this is a pretty bonkers lineup, featuring the aforementioned Rochester hellraisers, plus the hard charging, R&B party up fun of The Fox Sisters, as well as the raunchy and intense fun of The Irving Klaws, so this show might be exactly what you need after this extraordinarily wacky week. Also, this show is so not whitebread that the only suburban Millennial gentrifiers you’ll have to put up with are the ones you pass on Allen on your way to the show. Cover is $5 and doors are at 10pm. Tonight: ronaldraygun

ronaldraygun is finishing its Buffalo career tonight at Mohawk Place. The band plays spacey and psychedelic rock n’ roll almost reminiscent of Janice Joplin in attitude and sound, but tinged with punk and grunge moments. The departing group will be joined by enigmatic comedian and artist Clayton Williams. Having played together before, hometown classics and Mohawk royalty Irving Klaws and the raygun crew are no strangers. Their rockabilly meets Tony Hawk Pro Skater-core has been drawing fans to Mohawk for years and will be sure to make the farewell a memorable one. The BiPolaroids will round out the night beginning at 8pm. Cover is $5.

Tonight: Irving Klaws

Masters of their own art, The Irving Klaws will headline Nietzsche’s tonight with supporting acts The Tell Tale Signs and The Surfin Cadavers. The “Klaws” have been together for over a decade and a half and provide a very energetic sound that reflects the time of their inception. If you haven’t made up your mind about what to do tonight, then get to Nietzsche’s. It’s not every day you get to see local rock legends on stage together, especially not for whatever the cover ends up being tonight. Speaking of the cover, there is no established cover yet, but if we all know Nietzsche’s, and I feel that I do, it is likely to $3 or $5.  The show starts at 10pm and is expected to go on to the wee hours of the morning. Tonight: The Irving Klaws

All Hallow’s Eve in Allentown… when the weird go pro and Halloween gets back to it’s primal roots, and there’s no better place to let your freak run wild than at the Nietzsche’s Halloween Party featuring local freaks The Irving Klaws, Small Smalls and ronaldraygun. Billed as a “freakshow tribute to music from the movies,” there is no way it’s not going to be bonkers (especially with the wonderfully sinful Irving Klaws involved), but if you throw in giveaways and a costume contest with a $100 prize, a bonkers time is guaranteed. $5 gets you in and the wildness jumps off from 10 PM.
