Napoleon Gold feat. Haiva Ru – “Love Don’t Cut Me Down”

Napoleon Gold dropped one of our favorite songs of 2019 with “Love Don’t Cut Me Down.” Featuring a haunting vocal take from Haiva Ru, “Love” is the truest of electro pop bangers with a chorus that will stick with you for days and days. We’re revisiting this one because it recently got the music video treatment – full of gauzy visuals and lots of dancing. This is one you don’t want to miss – check the video out below and then add it to your Spotify playlist.

Napoleon Gold – “Love Don’t Cut Me Down (feat. Haiva Ru)”

Napoleon Gold is on fire with this one – “Love Don’t Cut Me Down” is a nu-disco tinged electronic pulse featuring a lovely vocal take from Haiva Ru. Full of nostalgic and longing vibes – this one is emotional while still very, very danceable. “And I don’t wanna go if you don’t go with me” is insanely catchy – check it out below before inevitably adding it to your Spotify playlist.

Haiva Ru – “Work It On Out”

Indie act Haiva Ru blends pop and rock elements to draw up her wistful single “Work It On Out.” The pseudonym of Allie Merrill, Haiva Ru combines clear-cut guitar lines, glittery synths, and affecting lyricism to drive the track home. “Work It On Out” centers on a relationship set in unbalance, where emotion is met with stoicism in an unending cycle. Merrill’s use of repetition does not go unnoticed, enacted as a means of emphasis while her story gradually unravels. It might take a few plays to let the emotional depth sink in, but the track is well worth every listen. Take Haiva Ru’s “Work It On Out” for a spin below.
