Glassio – “Back For More”

Indie duo Glassio’s “Back For More” is about as polished and magical as synth-pop gets. The track is full of life, backed by deep, affecting splashes and soaring, majestic trickles of keyboard. Beyond the musical sense, this New York City-based act strikes a chord emotionally with their new track. “Back For More” concerns the unsure feeling and loss of hope derived from a relationship hitting the rocks and ending for good, a relatable but still hard-to-swallow dilemma. Glassio, the partnership of Sam R. and Charles Pinel, also has a number of sold-out shows under their belts and an Internet-rooted following behind them. It’s no surprise either, as surveying their new track will reveal. Check out “Back For More” down below.

Glassio – “Daydream”

At the start of “Daydream,” something exhilarating lurks, awaiting an invitation to burst out at the seams, as it does in full by song’s end. This something is a tantalizing breed of house and pop music ornamented with sonic, multi-layered brilliance. This new release from New York City-based indie-pop partnership Glassio finds its footing on jabs of keyboard, an insatiable bassline and ear-catching harmonies hoisted up by on-the-rise vocalist NAKAYA. Penned as both a sign of the times and a hybrid of Dr. Dre’s production methods and French electronic duo Air’s atmospheric touch, “Daydream” should induce momentary reflection, hand clapping and a willingness to treat the track with repeated listens all in one flurry.

Glassio – “Morning House (ft. Charles Fauna)”

The alt dance-pop stylings of Glassio are the latest breath of fresh electro-pop air to hit your speakers, in the form of their new single “Morning House.” With dismissal of negative energy as the main driving force behind the track, “Morning House” essentially emanates positivity. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Odesza and Flume, this song is vividly synth driven, with smooth-as-butter vocals and a rousing chorus, all tied together with the production stylings of Charles Fauna. Glassio – “Search and Destroy”

Soul-infused “Search & Destroy” is the latest brand of electropop from New York duo Glassio. The song is a politically-charged response, encapsulating feelings of uncertainty and unease by channeling an upbeat gospel chorus into a reshaped Iggy Pop war anthem. It dismisses hate by romanticizing it. Through a unique mix of electronic soundscapes and soothingly haunting vocals, this track has a way of swallowing you whole, ultimately emerging more at peace than before.
