Across the Atlantic ocean resides a band by the name of FLOWVERS who are wavy enough to be heard overseas in the States. These folk have arrived here at buffaBLOG as the avengers of the anxious with “When It Comes To It.” Covid-19 took many things from people all over the world in these past two years… Whether it’s physical, mental, or spiritual loss; people suffered and still do from social drought. FLOWVERS can not only vouch for those chasing the concept of acceptance within their social life but lead them to the light in acceptance of self. It’s all demonstrated, of course, by their brand of jittery, high-energy indie rock. ICYMI, we’ve already featured Portsmouth-based indie punx FLOWVERS on the blog twice before; “When It Comes To It” and “Far Away” are a pair of exuberant singles that both highlight the band’s collective youth and capitalize upon their unbridled energy. They’re back again with another certified banger, this time the quasi-self-referential “Flowers…” Expect even more of what you’ve come to love about this great young band – fun guitar work, insane energy, and a strong sense of pop melody. FLOWVERS – “Far Away”

It hasn’t been too long since we’ve checked in with Portsmouth-based indie rockers FLOWVERS – we just featured their previous single “When It Comes To It” earlier this month. They’re back with another amazing alt-rocker, this time in the form of “Far Away.” Propelled by the juxtaposition between a gentle harmonic riff and obscenely huge guitar tones, “Far Away” seems destined for greatness – it was recorded with Richard Woodcraft of Arctic Monkeys/Radiohead fame after all. Fans of 90s alternative are gonna love this – but this could also sit comfortably on the shelf next to any of today’s modern rock radio all-stars.
