Faux Canada – “Glass Is a Mirror”

Digging this fun indie rocker from San Francisco act Faux Canada. Inspired by the early 00s indie rock scene (think Metric, Arcade Fire, etc.), “Glass Is a Mirror” is a bouncy blast of staccato guitars, thumping bass rhythms, and dreamy vocals. Fun fact: this one was composed 100% remotely (thanks COVID). It’s a fun, dreamy jam that we’ve been going back to over and over – check it out via Bandcamp below, it’s also on Spotify if that’s more your thing. Glass Is a Mirror by Faux Canada

Faux Canada – “Stockton”

Faux Canada is a SF-based indie pop band whose “Stockton” grabbed our attention. The group is heavily inspired by the early 00s (and also 90s shoegaze and grunge) and that all comes out on this peppy single. Full of upbeat riffage, bouncing basslines, and relatable lyrics, “Stockton” is a good time all the way through for any indie rocker – turns out we’re all just “shitty kids from shitty cities” after all!

Faux Canada – “Projector”

San Fran indie-poppers Faux Canada sent over the peppy “Projector” and we’ve been hooked ever since. We’re not sure what to love more, the spacey, squiggly keyboards that squiggle their way through the song, or the delightfully spastic guitar riffs that propel “Projector” forth. Either way, we’re pretty sure it’s impossible to listen to this song without a big smile on your face. Check it out below. Add “Projector” to your Spotify playlist.
