Despondent’s brand of lo-fi emo is strangely addictive – their latest offering, “Do You Like It?” is great evidence of their infectious sincerity. Jangly, about-to-fall-apart guitar noise and a warm, analog-sounding mix provides the backbone for singer Nora Schlang’s heartfelt vocal delivery.
