Circa Survive at the Main Street Armory (12/01/17)

This past Friday, Circa Survive brought an insane tour package to the Main Street Armory in Rochester.  We sent our photographer down the 90 to catch some of the action.  The massive venue did not deter the bands nor the passionate fans from giving it their all.  Balance and Composure kicked things off, followed by instrumental prog/math rock act Chon.  Things started to get a little crazy after Thrice went on, in a good way.  The madness was only amplified into Circa Survive’s set, as both bands are known for having exceptionally passionate fans.  Check out some photos from the show below, shot by blog photographer, Brendan O’Connor. Chon at the Studio at Waiting Room (9/10/15)

I was not expecting the amount of extreme technical proficiency that Chon brought to the stage at the Studio at the Waiting Room on Thursday night. The quartet seamlessly ripped though its entire set list without missing a beat, nailing every single note, leaving the crowd in awe. Regardless of your level of interest in instrumental progressive rock, you really have to hand it to these dudes for the amount of talent the possess. Tonight: Chon

Guitar lovers rejoice as instrumental math rock quartet Chon is set to take the stage at the Studio at Waiting Room later on tonight. Known for incredible, flashy guitar work and a groove heavy style of math rock inspired instrumentals, the San Diego bred group is sure to have the audience in awe as the members flawlessly rip through tracks off of their latest full length album, Grow. Opening the show will be locals Dininex and Amputecht, and doors open at 6:30pm tonight. Plenty of tickets are still available at the door for $14, and all ages are admitted, 16 and under with an adult.
