Authenticism and introspection drip from the latest work from Houston-born, LA-based rapper Brice Blanco. His new track “Cheap Thrills” explores the complicated disconnect between gratification and fulfillment, backed by warm, tactile instrumentation. My personal favorite part in this track is the lively percussion – they sound both live and hand-played, and serve as a human fabric for Brice’s tales of vices.
