Big Cry Country is living up to their name – “Breather” sounds like it could have come out in the late ’90s during emo’s first real revival. Big jangly guitars, a nice warm mix, and lyrics about fucking things up and just needing to take a breath are the perfect mix – this is a band that just seems happy making catchy, quirky emo, and we’re absolutely here for that. Fans of Rainer Maria, Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer, and Pohgoh will love this instantly.   “Breather” is on Bandcamp (below) and Spotify.   Breather by Big Cry Country
