Los Angeles, California native Paul Cherry brings an uplifting vibe on his latest single release “OBO” with a feature from fellow California native Kate Bollinger. The opening of this track gets your attention immediately by a couple of quick drums followed by Kate’s beautiful vocals. The instruments used in the beat makes you picture yourself on a beach surrounded by palm trees sipping on your favorite drink. One of my favorite elements of the track is the storytelling within; as soon as Paul starts singing, his first lyrics are, “Hey, thanks for your reply, let’s meet tonight.” The storytelling is executed perfectly, as you feel like you are eavesdropping on their conversation, but in reality, that’s exactly what they want the fans to think. The delivery of the track is done extremely well as it’s not only a lovey conversation, but also an uplifting buoyant vibe.

“OBO” is an enchanting indie pop song that uplifts spirits and sets hearts aglow. The vibrant blend of pulsating beats and sparkling synths creates an irresistible soundscape that instantly brightens even the gloomiest of days. As the voices of Pete and Kate soar, they ignite a sense of optimism and unity. Even if the picture isn’t painted clear enough within the track for some people, there’s also a music video posted on Born Losers RecordsYouTube channel. The music video for the track is a visual masterpiece that captures the essence of love turning into despair. Set with a vintage vibe, it tells the story of two lovebirds that take a turn for the worse. With its vintage California setting, dreamlike sequences, and heartwarming/wrenching moments, the video paints a picture to not dive into love quickly before it ends tragically.

The track was released on all platforms (including Spotify and Apple Music) on June 2nd, serving as the opening track to the 2 song EP ‘Los Angeles Story’. The music video was released the same exact day as Paul wanted to paint the perfect story for his fans.
