Kraków Loves Adana – “Hiding In My Room”

Today, German artist and producer Deniz Çiçek under the moniker Kraków Loves Adana, unveils the new song “Hiding In My Room” as another tease of the upcoming album Oceanflower, due out February 14th. Surrounded by pulsating synth arpeggios and 80s disco flair, Çiçek whispers hopeful thoughts about loneliness and adolescence into our ears. It bolsters the already impressive discography of KLA, full of airy and dreamy soundscapes about love and heartbreak alike.

Checking back in with our German friends in Kraków Loves Adana, this time on their gothy, dreamy new single “When The Storm Comes.” They’ve teamed up with even MORE friends, Ruth Radelet & Adam Miller (formerly of Chromatics), to create this lovely tune. The song is a simmering slow burn, full of muted guitar strumming, soaring leads, and excellent harmonies that are simply dripping in melody. “Storm” is the debut single from her 7th(!) album, Ocean Flower, due out February 14th, 2023… So be sure to keep an eye out for that.

Checking back in with our German friends in Kraków Loves Adana (we’ve previously featured their songs “Rapture” and “False Alarm“). This time we’ve fallen for the swirly electropop of “Everything Dies” – between the melancholy moans that form the vocal melodies or the vintage warble of a Casio-keyboard tone, we were smitten from the get-go. “Dies is” deceptively (and crushingly) simple – we think you’re going to like the haunting and introspective melodies too.

Kraków Loves Adana – “False Alarm”

Kraków Loves Adana’s single “False Alarm” is the latest dream-pop infused soundtrack for driving off into the sunset. This track features the classic dynamic duo; paired rhythmic guitar and drums, while the vocal line croons overhead. The most unique component of instrumentation is the choral synth, which in any other setting would sound overly tongue-and-cheek, but here gives the hook a driving momentum and a haunting quality. This is the type of song to lose yourself in, as singer Daniz Cicek pleadingly drones over the loss of light. The video artfully captures the Berlin-based duo’s play on movement and lighting, all too relevant to the song without seeming overly blatant. Keep an eye out for the single on the band’s third album, set to be released this March.
