Alaska’s synth-pop maestro Paul Jacks is back (catch our previous feature on Paul here)! Amphibious, his first LP in three years, releases March 3 on Tritone Records. Leading the release is single “Left in a Haste,” a bright pop song whose synths burst forth with melody and dance with the interweaving guitar lines. Your hips start shifting and swaying as Paul Jacks reverb’d vocals bounce on the beat while telling a story of regret and self admonishment, consoling oneself after making a familiar mistake that has burnt the singer before. Fans of David Bowie’s pop sensibilities, Phoenix, and Chromatics will find lots to love about this track.
