Eirik Glambek Bøe’s solo project Kommode opens up shimmering doors of jazz, pop, and new wave in his new track “Fight or Flight or Dance All Night.” A striking electronic/analog hybrid, the track incorporates an array of synths, funk bass, trumpet, and methodical guitar to drive home a unique, toe-tapping sound. He manages to place and grow instrumentation in such a way that the song becomes a journey. Kommode’s upcoming album Analog Dance Music is set for digital release on August 18th, but until then there’s plenty to uncover in “Fight or Flight or Dance All Night” while we ride out the wait.
