“Like A Ghost” came to Kiyo Company mastermind Kiyo Cato on a subway platform as he waited for his homebound train one day… The rest of the song was born later that night as he sat messing around on the piano. The song is a straight pop jam despite its dark lyrical content. About the song, Cato says, “I was trying to understand the death of a friendship, the loss of respect for this person I spent my whole life looking up to, and how we continue to outwardly act like everything is still fine. I was haunted by the way it used to be.” Deep stuff, Kiyo.
